Active Broken left wrist Open link
Beal will be active and make his season debut vs. the Mavericks on Wednesday. He will come off the bench and be on a minutes limit at first, with conditioning being more of a concern than his wrist injury. Beal put in his second straight full practice on Tuesday and has made excellent progress in his recovery from a fractured left wrist, which has sidelined him since Oct 10. Garrett Temple will draw perhaps one of his finals starts of the season at shooting guard on Wednesday, and he will see his minutes cut significantly along with Rasual Butler with Beal back in the lineup.

Questionable Broken left wrist Open link
Beal put in another full practice on Tuesday, and coach Randy Wittman said he experienced general soreness but not in his wrist. Wittman didn't shut down the possibility of Beal playing and making his season debut Wednesday, though he remains non-committal about his status. Beal will be evaluated Wednesday morning after shootaround and is considered a game-time decision. He has been sidelined since Oct. 10 with a fractured left wrist and will soon be entering the sixth week of an initial six-week timetable. We'll continue to update his status as needed on whether he will indeed make his debut on Wednesday and if so, whether he'll start or come off the bench. Garrett Temple and Rasual Butler would continue to handle the minutes at the off-guard if Beal needed more time off.

Injured Broken left wrist Open link
Beal was a full participant in Monday's practice, going through 5-on-5 full court scrimmages along with everything else. He wasn't limited at all, and said the pain in his wrist was minimal. Beal refuted a previous report that said he was targeting Friday for his season debut, with both he and coach Randy Wittman saying they'll take it day-by-day and see how his wrist responds after practices. That doesn't necessarily mean he won't be able to return Friday; it just means that it's not set in stone. Beal has been sidelined since Oct. 10 with a fractured left wrist and will soon be entering the sixth week of an initial six-week timetable. Garrett Temple and Rasual Butler will continue to handle the minutes at the off-guard until he returns.

Injured Broken left wrist Open link
Beal is expected to return to practice on Monday and is “hoping” to make his season debut on Friday vs. the Cavs. Coach Randy Wittman said the team will evaluate him as he goes along to determine when he plays and emphasized that they'll be patient in easing him back in, so that Friday return date is far from certain. Beal was examined by doctors recently and the report was "terrific" and revealed "no setbacks", according to his agent Mark Bartelstein. He has been sidelined since Oct. 10 with a fractured left wrist and will soon be entering the sixth week of an initial six-week timetable. The Wizards are unlikely to practice Sunday, so Monday could be Beal's first practice session should things go well. Garrett Temple and Rasual Butler will continue to handle the minutes at the off-guard until Beal returns.

Injured Broken left wrist Open link
Beal was examined by doctors on Friday and there's a strong chance that he could return to practice with the team next week. "The report was terrific," said his agent Mark Bartelstein. "It's all good news ... there were no setbacks." Bartelstein did not reveal any additional specifics beyond that. Beal has been shooting the ball, but still has not been able to catch or make passes with his surgically repaired left wrist. The Wizards play on Saturday and are unlikely to practice Sunday, so Monday could be Beal's first practice sessions should things go well. He'll be entering the sixth week of an initial six-week timetable. Garrett Temple and Rasual Butler will continue to handle the minutes at the off-guard until Beal returns.

Injured Broken left wrist Open link
Beal underwent wrist surgery on Sunday, after which the Wizards announced that he's expected to be sidelined for "approximately six weeks." The six-week timetable would bring him back during the last week of November and means he'll miss around 12 regular season games. Beal said his broken left wrist will be in a soft cast for 10 days before he can begin working out. Glen Rice, Jr., Garrett Temple, and Otto Porter will see more minutes on the wing with Beal sidelined. Martell Webster remains inactive after off-season back surgery, but will also figure in the mix for playing time after he is cleared to play.

Injured Broken left wrist Open link
The Wizards announced that Beal has suffered a non-displaced fracture of the scaphoid bone in his left (non-shooting) wrist that will require surgery. He is expected to miss as much as six-to-eight weeks and will undergo surgery on Sunday afternoon, with his timetable being confirmed shortly thereafter. A six-week timetable would mean that he'd miss around 11 regular season games, while an eight-week timetable means he'd be out closer to 18 games. Beal injured his left wrist during Friday's preseason loss, landing on it after getting fouled late in the first quarter. Glen Rice, Jr. started the second half at shooting guard in his place and will see heavy run at the off-guard along with Garrett Temple and Otto Porter for however long Beal ends up sidelined for. Martell Webster would usually be the presumed starter, but he's still not 100 percent yet after undergoing off-season back surgery.

Injured Sprained left wrist Open link
Beal is expected to miss "significant" time after injuring his left wrist in Friday's preseason loss, though the exact timetable remains unclear. He is being evaluated by doctors and surgeons before they decide on what course to take for treatment, and then an official announcement will be made on the exact time he's expected to miss. Beal landed on his left (non-shooting) wrist after getting fouled late in the first quarter of Friday's loss, stayed in the game to make his free throws after, then did not return. The Wizards called the injury a sprain. Glen Rice, Jr. started the second half at shooting guard in his place and will see heavy run at the off-guard along with Garrett Temple in the likely event that Beal ends up missing regular season action. Martell Webster would usually be the presumed starter, but he's still not 100 percent yet after undergoing off-season back surgery.

Injured Sprained left wrist Open link
Beal sprained his left wrist late in the first quarter of Friday's exhibition and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. He fell on his (non-shooting) wrist after getting fouled, stayed in to make his free throws, then was taken out. Glen Rice, Jr. started the second half at shooting guard in his place. Wizards beat writer J. Michael said he was told that holding Beal out was "just precautionary," and he left the arena on Friday with a brace that was being called precautionary, as well. We'll update his status as more information becomes available. Beal is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Saturday.
