Gallinari says his knee rehab is going so well that he could be on the court for the start of Nuggets training camp. He is still recovering from two surgeries on his left knee during a nine-month period that has sidelined him for more than a year, and remains more than two months away from his next rehabilitation benchmark. Gallinari says he is currently ahead of schedule and is able to run and jump without limitations. He plans to join the Italian national team for seven-to-10 days of practices in mid-August, and if he doesn't suffer any setbacks, is hopeful he'll be cleared for Day 1 of Nuggets camp with the chance to play in exhibition games. "I think training camp is realistic," Gallinari said. "It's something that we really talked about with the doctor. It's something that we really want to achieve and we believe is going to be possible." He has not played in 14 months and remains a very risky proposition heading into next season, albeit one that offers a top-50 type return. Gallo's value will ultimately hinge on how he progresses between now and October, with significant hurdles remaining that could offer setbacks and push back his timeline.

Comment1/13/2014 3:10 PMmbuser 0% (0)There was speculation that he'd return "by February" but it's not looking like it's going to happen. Pushed him out through the All-Star break.
Comment1/13/2014 11:51 AMaseoudy103 0% (0)is he still projected to return late January, seems that he still has a long way?
Comment12/28/2013 2:49 PMmbuser 100% (1)He's not available in my 16x14 league, but all has been quiet on the news front. Set his projected return date to late January.
Comment12/28/2013 11:34 AMBrosencephalon 0% (2)Time to stash in deep leagues?
Comment11/27/2013 8:07 AMnkeramaris 0% (0)Rondo had the same injury and he is about to return after 10 months. So I think we can expect Danillo back around February.
 Comment10/19/2013 12:18 PMmbuser 0% (0)In a word: yes.
Injured10/19/2013 2:26 AMvnmslsrbms 0% (0)Are the projections lower because of his return from his knee injury?
Comment10/17/2013 8:55 PMmbuser 100% (1)Yep, we've got him pegged at mid-December. That may also prove to be optimistic.
Injured10/17/2013 1:16 PMjohnd2442 100% (2)From Oct. 6 on Rotoworld, Gallinari hasn't even started running. I'm not so sure about late November.
Comment9/25/2013 11:45 AMmbuser 0% (0)His updates have been all over the map, but obviously this one would mean more games. Updated his timeline.
Comment9/25/2013 10:19 AMhsahardid 0% (0)Rotoworld blurb cites that he's been given tentative timetable to return in late November. Does that change his projected games played of 29 games?
Comment4/4/2013 11:05 PMmbuser 0% (0)DEN projections updated to reflect Gallinari likely out for season with torn ACL (via Woj).
Comment3/24/2013 11:54 PMmbuser 0% (0)Shooting less and making less is not a desired combination.
Overrated3/24/2013 10:38 PMcrucified77 100% (1)Can't hit a shot lately... you would think that the rotation preasure would cause him to be more efficient (Brewer and Chandler)... but not so.
Comment1/31/2013 5:47 PMmbuser 100% (1)Those shots at the rim have remained high, and his roll has continued.
 Comment1/31/2013 1:30 PMgarthmyers 0% (2)Time for an upgrade?
Comment1/14/2013 1:17 PMmbuser 100% (3)Ups and downs are not new for Gallinari. But a very promising recent trend: long 2s are being replaced by shots at the rim [http://www.hoopdata.com/splits.aspx?player=Danilo%20Gallinari]
Underrated1/14/2013 10:34 AMk-rok 100% (2)In form Gallinari has been great over the last 3-4 weeks, might deserve an upgrade
Comment12/30/2012 2:02 AMcrucified77 100% (1)Ya, but get this, he recovers from the slump with a great game on 12/28 (39 pts, 8 3's, .60% shooting), and then follows with a stinker (7 pts and .25 FG). Not sure what I can do with him...
Comment12/26/2012 1:06 PMmbuser 100% (2)A slump, without question. 24 mpg, 19% FG over the past three games; 33 mpg, 44% FG in nine December games prior.
Comment12/26/2012 2:42 AMcrucified77 100% (1)Trending down... things may be changing in the rotation (or who is given the shooting green light) or he's in another slump?
Comment12/12/2012 1:16 PMmbuser 100% (2)Adjusted some of the DEN notables.
Overrated12/12/2012 1:41 AMk-rok 100% (4)It looks like his projected FG% and 3's are a bit high at this point, might need an overall update...
