Active Left knee effusion Open link
Noah remains probable for Friday's game, with coach Tom Thibodeau saying that a final determination of his status will come after he goes through warm-ups. Noah put in a full practice on Thursday after sitting out Tuesday due to a left knee effusion (as well as a left eye issue). He said his knee and eye are both feeling better, and Thibodeau was happy with the way he looked in practice. There is some concern because the knee effusion, which is another term for excess fluid buildup, is in the same left knee that Noah had arthroscopic surgery on back in May. He doesn't look like he'll have to miss any more time because of it though, and his return will relegate Cameron Bairstow back to the bench and Nikola Mirotic to a more limited reserve role.

Questionable Left knee effusion Open link
Noah put in a full practice on Thursday after sitting out Tuesday due to a left knee effusion (as well as a left eye issue), and said he hopes he'll be able to play on Friday as his knee and eye are both feeling better. He is considered a game-time decision. Coach Tom Thibodeau said he'll see how Noah feels on Friday before making a determination on his status, though he was happy with the way Noah looked in practice. There is some concern given the knee effusion, which is another term for excess fluid buildup, is in the same left knee that Noah had arthroscopic surgery on back in May. He doesn't look like he'll have to miss any more time because of it though, and his return will relegate Cameron Bairstow back to the bench and Nikola Mirotic to a far more limited reserve role.

Out Left eye, left knee Open link
Noah has been ruled out of Tuesday's game vs. the Nuggets with left eye and left knee issues. The left eye issue occurred during Monday's win, as he left during the fourth quarter after being poked in the left eye. Coach Tom Thibodeau recently said that Noah is dealing with a left knee effusion, which is another term for excess fluid buildup. It's on that same knee that he had arthroscopic surgery on back in May during the off-season. Nikola Mirotic will likely move into the starting lineup with Taj Gibson (ankle) still sidelined, with Nazr Mohammed seeing additional run off the bench as well.

Questionable Left eye, left knee Open link
Noah is considered questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Nuggets with left eye and left knee issues. The left eye issue occurred during Monday's win, as he left during the fourth quarter after being poked in the left eye. The knee issue is related to the arthroscopic surgery he underwent on his left knee back in May during the off-season. We'll continue to update his status as we hear more. Nikola Mirotic would likely move into the starting lineup if Noah has to miss any time, with Taj Gibson (ankle) still sidelined.

Questionable Left eye Open link
Noah left Monday's game during the fourth quarter after poked in the left eye and was briefly called questionable before coming back in to finish the game. He said afterward that team doctors checked out his eye and "put some stuff in it," and that he hopes to be fine for Tuesday vs. Denver. Nikola Mirotic would be pressed into the starting lineup if Noah isn't cleared to play, with Taj Gibson (ankle) having already been declared out.

Questionable Illness Open link
Noah is likely headed for a game-time decision for Friday's contest vs. the Sixers. He missed his second straight game Wednesday because of flu-like symptoms, though he joined up with his teammates afterwards before traveling with the team to Philadelphia. Taj Gibson would draw another start in Noah's place if he had to miss more time, with Nikola Mirotic and Pau Gasol also seeing additional run.

Noah has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Bucks due to an illness, as expected. He sat out Tuesday's win with the same ailment and it appears that he hasn't quite gotten over it yet. Noah will meet the team in Milwaukee then fly with them to Philadelphia for their next game. Taj Gibson (ankle, active) will draw another start in his place, with Nikola Mirotic and Pau Gasol to see the surplus run in the frontcourt.

Probable Left knee surgery Open link
Noah is happy with his progress to this point of the preseason, most notably his totaling 48 minutes during a back-to-back on Sunday and Monday, and has had no setbacks or experienced any pain in his surgically-repaired knee. Coach Tom Thibodeau said he doesn't expect Noah to be on a minutes restriction to being the season, but added that he needs to recognize what Noah and Derrick Rose "can handle" in the early-going. Noah will wear a brace on his knee, and you should expect him to start the season below his minutes-per-game peak. Noah dealt with knee issues for most of last season's second half, while still averaging over 37 minutes per game.

Injured Left knee surgery Open link
Noah is "doing well" in his rehab from arthroscopic left knee surgery, according to Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, though he still hasn't started running again. He had surgery on May 2 to clean out the knee that was giving him problems toward the end of the season and was expected to be out between 8-12 weeks. "Right now he's lifting and he's doing some shooting, but he can't run yet," Thibodeau said. "Just some conditioning in the pool. All the things he normally does this time of the year. But he's doing real well." Noah had dealt with the knee injury for the whole second half of the season, and complained after the Bulls' Game 5 loss to the Wizards that it was bothering him. He should be good to go for the start of the 2014-15 season assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks.
