Injured Blake Griffin LAC, Injured Open link
Griffin withdrew from Team USA training camp for the FIBA World Cup last week because he was advised by doctors to give a small fracture in his back more time to heal before the start of the next NBA season. The move was made for precautionary reasons as he is still expected to make a full recovery from the injury, which he reportedly suffered during last year's playoffs. Though he is expected to be good to go for the start of the 2015 season, the injury sounds major enough to where it makes sense to monitor his progress and ensure that he's 100 percent healthy before committing a high draft pick to him in drafts.
Injured Michael Carter-Williams PHI, Injured Open link
Carter-Williams says his rehabilitation is going better than expected. He underwent successful surgery in early May to repair the labrum in his shoulder, and says he is already back to shooting. "I have full extension and everything," Carter-Williams said. "So I'm ahead of schedule." The recovery time for a torn labrum is usually two-to-four months, and MCW is currently two months into that timetable. We'll keep updating MCW's status as he continues in his recovery, but given his progress so far, this shouldn't put his status for the start of the 2014-15 season into question.
Injured Martell Webster WAS, Injured Open link
Webster will be sidelined for three-to-five months following surgery on June 27 to repair a herniated disc in his lower back. The Wizards said Webster suffered the injury in mid-July during a routine workout at the team’s practice facility. He is expected to begin rehab immediately but will miss training camp and perhaps be out for the start of the regular season.
Injured Manu Ginobili SAS, Injured Open link
Ginobili has suffered a stress fracture in his right leg and is unlikely to represent Argentina in the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain this summer. He was diagnosed with the early stages of a stress fracture in his exit physical with the Spurs, and it's an injury that appears to have developed late in San Antonio's championship season. He is seeking a second medical opinion before proceeding, and the recovery and rehabilitation process for the injury is expected to be two months. Ginobili should be fully functional for the start of training camp in late September.

PJ Tucker- Arrested and charged with a "super extreme DUI", meaning he blew over a .20 on the breathalyzer. Could be facing a suspension to start the season. [jphanned]

Chandler Parsons- I'd expect him to post higher value on DAL if anything. Going from Harden/D12 to Dirk/Monta should mean he'll have a more expansive offensive role. [jphanned]

Chandler Parsons- Should we expect similar numbers and usage with Parsons in DAL [Sribb43]

Trevor Ariza- Similar minutes and usage should be available for Ariza with Parsons in DAL. So his value will depend on whether or not he can stay healthy and maintain the 3P%. [mbuser]

Trevor Ariza- Let's see what happens with Parsons first. He'll play plenty in a sixth man role, but certainly won't match his 35 mpg from last season as a reserve. [mbuser]

Trevor Ariza- what do you think of Ariza's value in Houston? [bechteljay]

Kelly Olynyk- We talked about him as such in the season-ending podcast. Very versatile per-minute production, but also 5.8 fouls per-36. [mbuser]

Kelly Olynyk- Potential sleeper for next year? [ak murthy]

Anthony Davis- Link also mentions working on more post moves and a pull-up jumper, which would certainly get more use. Good read, it reinforces that his drive and work ethic are on par with his freakish talent. [mbuser]

Anthony Davis- AD is "working on adding a corner 3-pt shot". http://tinyurl.com/og5u6na [kdavehill]

Deron Williams- Said it's possible he'll have surgery on both his ankles this offseason. Already next to Dwyane Wade on my early avoid list for next season. [jphanned]

Andre Drummond- Love the fit, and even more reason to like Drummond next year. Will be most interested in how SVG manages the Smith/Monroe situation given DET's floor spacing has been horrible with all 3 together. [jphanned]

Andre Drummond- Any thoughts about Drummond's production under Stan Van Gundy? [ak murthy]

Chris Paul- Per Clippers' game notes, Paul did not make the trip to Portland and will not play in the finale. [mbuser]

Chris Paul- 26 minutes tonight are based on OKC loss? If OKC wins, what are the chances of DNP? [k-rok]
